It may seem like new risks are constantly emerging – that is because they are. A recent personal risk exposure that has people worried is a feature of certain credit cards that include a new chip allowing to merely wave the card near the payment portal to submit payment. This has been used effectively abroad and Europe was an early adopter because of significant identity and credit card theft. The chips are imbedded into the credit card and also require a pin this has reduced as much as 50% of the theft according to the US government.

The problem in the US is that recent technology with the credit cards do not include a pin. You can merely swipe at the gas station or other kiosk to submit payment.
