Danielle VollmarDanielle Vollmar is a StormTeam 5 meteorologist for WCVB-TV Channel 5.  She joined WCVB-TV in April 2013 serving as the meteorologist for the weekend editions of the “EyeOpener” newscasts.Prior to joining WCVB-TV, Danielle was the evening meteorologist on KDAF-TV (CW33) in Dallas. She also hosted the CW 33 morning show, “Eye Opener”, which was broadcast on the Tribune TV stations in Dallas, Houston, Miami, Philly and Portland.Danielle is a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM) and was honored with an AP Award for “Best Weathercast” when she was the midday meteorologist at WBOC-TV (CBS) in Salisbury, MD.A graduate of Cornell University, Danielle began her career while still in school as the fill-in weather anchor for WENY-TV in Elmira, New York.Danielle volunteers a great deal in her community and is a past chair of the American Lung Association Stairclimb in Oklahoma City. She is also a member of Junior League. When not working or volunteering, Danielle is a passionate runner and has completed 4 half marathons.
