Deland, Gibson Insurance Blood Drive with American Red Cross
On August 8th Deland Gibson hosted a blood drive. We have to first thank Haynes Management for allowing DG and the American Red Cross to use the office space.
We had a great turnout with a total of 40 people coming in to donate blood. We were extremely happy with this number as we were told by the Red Cross that typical numbers in the slow summer months end up around 20 for the same timeframe.
From the Red Cross:
“The day totaled 26 units of blood, each of which can help up to 3 patients in need. August is historically one of the most challenging months for the Red Cross, so these 26 units of blood are especially appreciated.”
DG also wants to thank our employees and company partner representatives who donated time or blood for the cause. Due to the success this may end up being an annual event! Follow the blog for future events.
