A recent e-blast from the Insurance Journal updates the recent changes that occurred regarding flood reform. The short and sweet: It has been agreed upon for a delay in implementation for “primary, non-repetitive loss residences” until an affordability study can be completed. This is estimated to take up to 4 years. BUT nothing has been voted on so nothing is official and the bill is currently still moving forward as planned.
We at DG would not be surprised if there are more changes on this – and we have not received clear communication on this so we will keep you updates as the information comes in.
