Philanthropy is Part of Who We Are
The Deland, Gibson Community has always had a big heart. Since the mid 90s DG has had “Jeans Friday”. This is every other Friday where employees can opt to wear jeans and pay $5 towards a charity or cause.
The DG family has donated many hours, vacation days and money to the local community and in this page we will highlight a few of the causes DG has supported. While the DG family’s charitable touch extends well beyond business hours, here are some of the most recent philanthropic partners.
Deland, Gibson has sponsored a yearly United Way Campaign over the past decade. Along with Deland, Gibson’s yearly corporate gift, employees also pledge to the United Way annually.

Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Walk for a Cure Sponsor
Great Strides is the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation’s largest and most successful national fundraising event. This year, we contributed to support Team Jackson in the Great Strides walk at the 2012 York – York Beach Fire Department walk on 05/20/2012.
Team Jackson exceeded their goal of raising $10,000 by almost $4,000 thanks to the generosity caring individuals and firms like ours.
Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a devastating genetic disease that affects tens of thousands of children and young adults in the United States. Research and care supported by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is making a huge difference in extending the quality of life for those with CF. We are proud to have supported Team Jackson and the mission of the CF Foundation!
Jeans for Beans!
In the last quarter of 2012, everyone at Deland, Gibson had the opportunity to wear jeans on Fridays. In exchange for this priviledge, each participant was required to bring in a non-perishable item for the Wellesley Food Bank.
