Back on August 7th of 2012, Governor Patrick signed into law an act that establishes a standard of information a temporary worker will be afforded before going to the job. Workers must be advised of this law and it must be posted in the office. Highlights of the law include increased protection from certain costs that have been charged back to the workers such as CORI requests, some transportation costs and drug screenings.
This only applies to certain industries as “professionals” “secretaries or administrative assistants” are not included in this Act.
