A few extra bucks while away on business or vacation never hurts! To take advantage of this some recent startup companies have included car sharing to efficiently use your car when it would normally be sitting in an airport parking lot. If you were to park your car in the airport while away on vacation or business other people could use your car when you are away, return before you get back, and then you will get paid for it!
Car sharing may bring pitfalls.
It is a great concept but we at DG cannot endorse this product yet as there are some unknowns. Mostly the logistics and timeliness of service when getting your car fixed if it were in an accident – or if your auto policy would need to be utilized it is unclear if coverage would be afforded as there are certain policy forms that could be voided under these terms. Insurance companies are making changes to counteract their risk with this new industry but we haven’t seen the finished product at this point. Once more is release we will be sure to publish the updates.
