The Stories Behind Our Culture
Every day at Deland, Gibson, people go above and beyond for clients.
They stay on a call a little longer. Ask one more question. Push back on a denied claim instead of accepting the first answer. Take the time to find a better solution when an easier one is available.
Most of these moments never get shared. The work gets done, the client is taken care of, and everyone moves on to the next thing.
But those moments matter.
They’re one of the reasons clients trust us. They’re also a reflection of the culture we’ve built together.
Success Stories was created to make that work visible.
A Way to Capture Client Impact

Success Stories was created by Claims Director Chris Tibbetts to help us capture and share examples of the impact our employees have on clients every day.
Some stories involve a claim that was paid after being denied. Others highlight reduced out-of-pocket costs, increased claim payouts, or a creative solution to a difficult problem.
While the outcomes vary, the common thread is advocacy. Behind every story is someone who took the extra step, asked one more question, or pushed for a better result on behalf of a client.
The goal isn’t to keep score.
It’s to learn from one another, recognize great work, and shine a light on the actions that reflect who we are as a company.
Why It Matters
As we grow, it’s easy for great work to happen without most of us ever hearing about it.
Success Stories gives us a way to share those examples, learn from one another, and stay connected to the values that have always been part of Deland, Gibson.
It also helps us understand the impact of our work. A client outcome is rarely the result of one person or one conversation. It often takes collaboration, persistence, and advocacy from people across the organization.
By sharing these stories, we can see how those efforts contribute to stronger client relationships, better outcomes, and the trust our clients place in us.
Because culture isn’t built through a program or a mission statement.
It’s built through everyday actions.
Success Stories simply helps us make those actions visible.
